Barrichello Keeps Ferrari on Top in Imola Practice
Barrichello, seeking to dispel the disappointment of retiring for the ninth successive year while leading his home Brazilian Grand Prix two weeks ago, lapped Ferrari's home circuit in one minute 22.819 seconds.
Germany's Ralf Schumacher, who took the first win of his Formula One career at Imola in 2001, was second quickest despite losing control as he rode the curbs and hitting the tire barriers.
Australian Mark Webber, fifth fastest for Jaguar in Friday's first qualifying, continued to impress with the third best time in practice after failing to set a time in the first session when he went into the gravel trap.
His Brazilian teammate Antonio Pizzonia, who has endured a tough baptism in three races so far this season, had another morning of struggle and was slowest, Reuters reported.
Ferrari's five-times world champion Michael Schumacher, without a podium finish so far this season but winner at Imola three times in the past four years, was fifth quickest.
